I'm getting fed up of TOCs not using the standard yellow stripe. Time for DfT to insist?

Why? How many average punters know that a yellow stripe denotes First Class?I'm getting fed up of TOCs not using the standard yellow stripe. Time for DfT to insist?

Is there a total lack of Virgin logos on the coaches?
Im not sure that it was ever widely used, but raspberry ripple is a nickname that Ive seen used to describe the old Intercity livery when it first came out!Looks like the packaging for a raspberry ripple ice cream...
Right...and out of those, how many don't know that "1" or "FIRST CLASS" also denotes First Class?Surprisingly many, particularly those who used trains in the BR era.

Has anyone any links to the livery that aren't on dropbox (can't access that from here...)
My train this morning (the ex-Bradford FS) just had a Red Slash with "Virgin" in it on the front - and a lot of red on the back of seat reservations.
Thanks for trying - no less blocked for me though.
I can see the other embedded images in the thread.
RD1688. LNER rolling stock at Arley on the Severn Valley Railway. 16th February, 2007. by Ron Fisher, on FlickrThats Virgin. They aren't subtle. I like it.
Even if yellow horribly mismatches with the rest of a livery? Why?I'm getting fed up of TOCs not using the standard yellow stripe. Time for DfT to insist?
