As she was being filmed I dare say there was a film crew with her so she was not on her own so she could quite have easily enforced the rules without danger to herself this time
I wouldn't say she was safe in that situation. Watch any cop show and you'll see that some people won't let a tv camera stop them being violent. I don't really blame her for the way she handled this whole thing.
What an overreaction. A few drunks (seemed pretty well mannered and not hooligans or criminals, just under the influence) travelled in a pretty much empty first class coach. Some had tickets for first. And now, shock horror, they used swear words. Hardly a major crime. From what we saw on TV they were hardly constantly swearing or insulting/hassling other passengers. They just happened to use a couple of swear words. Is say it shows more about the woman who complained that they had sworn even though she probably didn't know for sure if they had or had not got first class tickets.
A bunch of drunk loud sweary guys sat in a first class quiet area, some of whom hadn't paid to be there.
Okay so they apparently weren't harassing other passengers but that doesn't mean they weren't being disturbing or disruptive, and what makes it worse is they picked the quiet carriage, so hey screw you if you fancied peace for work or sleep.
Why should the other passengers who either paid up to £38 or up to £187 have to pick up their stuff and move around the train just to avoid some inconsiderate idiots who thought they were the only people in the world?
One of them said to Jodie that his ticket was "down my pants". So now we have a bit of harassment, and anti social behaviour. Being drunk doesn't excuse them. If they can't show common decency then they shouldn't drink. And if they
can control themselves and chose to act that way then that's even worse.
