I think 30 is high for interview at the end. I'd say 15 will drop out from now till then.
Although there's 10 vacancies so your probably right!

I'm through to the next stage. There seems to be some confusion over the next stages here's how I think they will be
Gbt test, trp stage 1 and 2 and mech comp stage
Then next stage will be
Dtg reaction test with SI in one day
Then
Managers interview
Is this what everyone else thinks?

Well done on progressing, Have you not got the email that states exactly what you've just said lol
Only thing I can see wrong is mech comprehension, I thought the DFFT replaced this.

· A safety test which measures your concentration ability (Group Bourdon)
· An aptitude test which measures your trainability (TRP)
Stage Three Assessments
· A safety test which measures your reaction and coordination ability (DTG)
· A structured interview (CBI)
Stage four is quoted as being the medical but obviously there'll also be a Driver Manager's interview in there somewhere.
Bert and Ernie - as Chris said, didn't you get the attachments that accompanied your stage one invitation email.

Looks like its going to be a weeks notice or less then. Surely got to get an email tomorrow! Just as well that I've taken holiday on all of the assesment days listed!!

Well the email prior to the DFFT test said 11th or 12th April so it's obviously going to be one of those two days. That's all you really need to know for now in order to prepare.

I've just had an email saying I've been successful at the DFFT stage and will be contacted as soon as they have conducted background checks to ascertain whether any candidates have already passed the tests and don't need to retake them.
Must admit I was getting a little nervous even though my first careers page said 'successful at first assessments' so I'm very relieved!

Me too. Well done to everyone who have now officially passed!
Still no blooming date. I'm trying to plan my weekend around it. Just aswel I've got an ATOC card mind.

I'm too very happy having received an email today from First to say I was successful in reaching the next stages 
I truthfully only answered 6 and part answered the 7th so I was convinced I would not be going through.

That's interesting to hear. You must have had 100% accuracy. I beat myself up over getting 8 right and was convinced I wouldn't pass.

Not sure I had 100% or not, I wasted the last minute or two, I though I had missed one out or something so I started to check the train ID. I'm sure I had answered them 6 correctly but not sure if they were in the wrong boxes/order. Never did sort it out as the shout "pencils down" was ordered. I was convinced it was the end for me, I'm so pleased I'm through.
i only managed 6 and half of the 7th question too so i thought id blew it, everyone seemed to be finding out they had passed on the first career page, mine still says nothing! But i got the good news email today so that was a pleasant surprise! i guess its quality over quantity probably better to get 6 or 7 all correct than do 10 and get 1 wrong.
I'm pretty certain one failed according to my friend. The lad next to him finished the lot in less than 10 mins and just sat there looking very smug...
Either that or he got them all right but from what ive heard about this test, if he got all 20 done correct in less than 10 mins then he needs to be going for mega super spy scientist or something..... ha.

All 20 in 10 minutes? I find that veeeeery hard to believe. He could have somehow gained prior knowledge of the answers and memorised them or simply guessed the lot. There is absolutely no way you could answer each question in an average of 30 seconds! Completing 15 with about 80% accuracy should be about the best that anyone could do. As a former RAF Engineer I have a technical mind, a logical brain and am very familiar with system diagrams and fault-finding, I worked quickly and accurately and got as far as completing the first part of question 9, so 20.........nah!
By the way, all the papers were marked personally by the HR rep so she should be commended for getting the results out reasonably quickly. The next tests are administered by OPC.

There is a number that the TOC want to progress to the next stage and if there are not enough they will drop the pass grade so they get enough, of course all the assessments are a breeze:roll:

Tbh I think a lot of the numbers they wanted to cut will have come from no-shows, in my assessment it was maybe 2/3 full and if this was typical (a few have mentioned on this thread that their sessions weren't full either) then this may have contributed to the lowish pass mark.
Having said that, you've got to be in it to win it as they say, so well done to all who have progressed!
