Blackpool North and Blackpool South

Ha yes, i did a journey planner on the NR site, & journey was 1 hour, longer going the other way.

Catford-Catford Bridge across the Road from each other but think the rail involves a change at London Bridge.

Wigan North Western-Wallgate, & very few direct services WNW to Manchester[until the Chat Moss wiring is finished] so the logical journey is either via Liverpool & Kirkby or Warrington & Manchester

Pollokshields West to Pollokshields East is 8 minutes walking, or about 20 minutes direct round the Cathcart Circle or half an hour changing in Glasgow Central

Glasgow Central High Level to Glasgow Central Low Level is a couple minutes down some stairs or about 50 minutes changing at Newton

At times of disruption on the Leeds branch of the ECML, it can be quicker to walk from Wakefield Kirkgate to Westgate if you get a move on... any problems at Westgate and the Huddersfield stopper can be sat on the curve for a good while.

I can think of two between the GOBlin & the GEML, Wanstead Park to Forest Gate and Woodgrange Park to Manor Park.
Not even sure what the train route would be, west to Gospel Oak, come back east to Stratford and change? Or east to Barking, C2C to West Ham then the Jubilee.
Also South Tottenham to Seven Sisters. There is a curve that links them, but don't know of any service that calls at both.

Liverpool Lime Street Mainline to Liverpool Lime Street Low Level.
Half an hour or so, perhaps 0.05 mph average journey speed

On the London Underground, a well-known example is between Mansion House and Bank - you can see one from the other (or so I am told - I tried to find out if it was true but couldn't find the correct entrance), but it is fiddly to get between them by tube.

Also probably the tube's two closest stations: Covent Garden and Leicester Square.

The Jubilee Line between Southwark (Waterloo East) and Waterloo Underground stations would stop that from being so if we count the Underground stations as part of the main stations.

Still would be quicker to walk.

On Foot 1 escalator up and over the bridge.

By Jubilee line down 3 escalators - train - at least 1 escalator up to street level and then stairs to Waterloo East

Exmouth to Dawlish Warren (as long as there is a towel waiting).

Wouldn't like to try it. The currents through that gap between the Warren and Exmouth are pretty nasty. It's a Permanent Red DO NOT SWIM Flag zone

Beckton to Cyprus, probably also Beckton to Beckton Park (although I've not tried this) because of the loop via Gallions Reach that the DLR does. Gallions Reach to King George V is just about doable, but only if you're a quick walker and know the shortcut at the KGV end.

London Bridge to Victoria is probably quicker to walk than take the direct train.

Possibly Battersea Park to Wandsworth Road (except the one direct train a day).

It's certainly quicker to walk between the two Hammersmith stations than to get trains (changing at Gloucester Road and Edgware Road presumably) or between the two Shepherd's Bush stations (Willesden Junction and Oxford Circus?).

North Shields to South Shields if you allow the ferry. Woolwich to North Woolwich before it closed would have been quicker even walking through the tunnel (which can be quicker than the ferry) than by rail.

I reckon Glasgow Central to Argyle Street would be quicker at a brisk pace.
