What a cock up - the promotion was supposed to run until 2nd February!

A lot of big companies don't realise how high demand can be if things go viral on the Internet.

Becks expected a promotion of 100,000 free pint glasses to last for two months and they ran out after about a week.

There was something to be said for the old fashioned method of sending in a stamped addressed envelope to get your voucher!

I claimed vouchers on my home & two work emails. Then i registered one RSH account. I was able to claim two of the codes, but one said already claimed.

Whereas I read the T&C's and only claimed ONE - and it says 'Already used'. Does this mean that my code is worthless, or is it something thats going to sort itself out?

I've got the same problem. I've tried entering it a few times and each time it's either done nothing on submission or flagged up that it's already been used.

People with trouble redeeming their voucher codes are posting on the RSH Facebook page and are being asked to contact them on 0800 377 7748 with the voucher code to discuss the issue (I imagine they'll try to sort something out, as I've only ever had good experiences with their customer service!)

I contacted them and they've told me a £9.50 voucher will be in my account within 24 hours.

I don't live near a ticket office served by London Midland, but I have a friend who does. Would they be able to buy tickets on my behalf? I note it says the vouchers are not transferable, but does not mention the tickets...

Rail tickets have to be used by the person who they were purchased for under NRCoC.

Which, if the tickets are purchased on behalf of someone else, they haven't been transferred as they were intended for use by that party from the outset. This is entirely legal.

What I was getting at is Chouette was saying there's no LM condition about not transferring tickets and I was trying to point out they don't need to specify one as NRCoC already covers that.

Of course it's sensible and legal to be able to purchase tickets on behalf of someone else. Parents will quite often buy children's tickets for them which is a sensible approach and managers employ PAs for the purpose of doing the more remedial jobs on their behalf, which buying a train ticket comes under.

Yesterday's Yorkshire Evening Post stated that "one token will be printed every day [from Monday 4 February] to Saturday 9 February 2013". Two tokens are needed to exchange one application form for 1 - 4 travel tickets, which will have the same date of travel.

I can't see any rule which specifies this. The token in yesterday's Yorkshire Evening Post had few identifying features. The words were:

T O K E N

Just went to the newsagents on campus, turns out I got the Yorkshire Post and not the Yorkshire Evening Post, and there isn't a voucher in it! Not pleased at all >:

Try the shop on Heslington Road instead, they normally have some of the papers which have the tokens (as no-one local ever buys them). Failing that, Smiths either on Coney Street or at the station.
