Not what I'm looking for - but a nice try
Droitwich Spa is the answer. Leamington Spa can be reached by the (very) occasional through train via Kidderminster and via Bromsgrove by changing in New Street; Cheltenham Spa and Bath Spa can be reached in the other direction by changing in Worcester.

Something like "Trains departing from this station serve at least 4 different stations in a major city at the other end of their journeys" would have worked better. The station I had in mind was Canterbury West (serving London Bridge, Waterloo East, London Charing Cross, St Pancras International and you'd probably also count Stratford International).

That's the way I read the clue as well.
Just for interest, what would Clue 5 have been ? Clues 1 to 4 allow almost all the stations on the Wirral. [TOC = Merseyrail, classes = 507/508, trains serve Liverpool James St, Moorfields, Lime St, Central ]

Probably "this station has a misleading geographically-related suffix" (despite the name, it's only about 20 yards due west of Canterbury East station).
Is the origin of the names in that in pre-SECR days East was the station on the South EASTern Railway, while West was on the London, Chatham and Dover line?

I have a feeling that the answer to the query that was raised may well have something to do with the original Canterbury and Whitstable Railway and the South Eastern Railway's presence in Canterbury when they reached Canterbury in 1846 when it was decided to close Canterbury North Lane station (the original terminal station of the Canterbury and Whitstable Railway) and Canterbury West station served the line after that date, but this is my own personal view on the query and I would ask if anyone knowing differently to send a PM to me with their own theory, rather than to conduct a debate on the thread.
