But Evesham is the correct answer. Pershore was the station down the line in clue 5
And for the record, sprue (occasionally prue) is low grade asparagus. The word can be found in larger dictionaries and wiki - well buried below other meanings. Prue is a local dialect variant. Drupes and eggs are plums.
